Spring arrivals’ day

Today I visited our wetlands with my birding mate, Peter Szeimann. The spring migration is well under way. On a regional level we produced a nice birding list. Some bird species seen/heard for the first time are as follows: Eurasian Hobby, Common Sandpiper, Common Tern, White-winged Tern, Great Reed-Warbler, Tawny Pipit, Icterine Warbler, Common Nightingale. Families of Greylag Goose seen at some ponds at the Ferencmajor fishonds. On our way in between the fishponds I found a cooperative Whinchat which allowed me to take a series of images presented here.
