IOC World Bird Names v2.6 is out: the enhanced version of the spreadsheet is here

Despite I have recently switched to Bubo Listing to keep my life lists in this excellent online database, I also keep my lifers in an enhanced version of the IOC spreadsheet. The reason of redesigning the IOC master file is that the downloadable file from IOC website is completely non user friendly for further ticking while the other file is in wrong format (at least the pop up window says).

In this Mac version I’ve added both English and scientific family names as well as additional fields where specific details of the observation could be added such as the location of lifer, the country where lifer was seen, trip or date info. I’ve also added basic statistics to make this life list more fancy (works in Numbers only, at least for the present).

If you have any idea for further enhancement of this list, please leave a comment on the bottom of the blog post. EXCEL version will be available soon.
