Blue Lagoon birding walk

Despite my body said ‘stay in bed’, I forced myself to go out and enjoy the first real warm days in shorts at the local nature reseve, the Blue Lagoon. This restored former brick work site is not that exotic as its name suggests although it has a surprisingly rich and busy birdlife. My 2.55mi (4.1km) long birding route is covering three main sites including the new landfill area west of the reserve. It’s has a good variety of habitats with wood and bushland and also marsh and grasslands with larger open weter surface.

New comer for this year was the Garden Warbler what I found on several places singing.
